Freelance writer Ann Morgan is set to release her debut novel Beside Me with Bloomsbury on January 14.

The novel, a psychological thriller, follows twin sisters Ellie and Helen, who swap places when they're six before their lives are thrown into uproar when Ellie refuses to switch back. The sisters' lives diverge, with Helen falling into the life of a troubled misfit while Ellie finds fame, popularity and success, before the family's brought back together with the news that Ellie's fallen into a coma. For fans of The Girl On The Train and Gone Girl, Beside Me has picked up praise from writers including Lucy Caldwell, Patricia Duncker and The Shock Of The Fall's Nathan Filer, who described it as 'a compulsive, dark and strikingly well-written novel'. Morgan, who's also achieved acclaim from her first book Reading the World in which she read a book from every country in the world in a year, is set to be a big hit with this fascinating, literate thriller.
